landscaping services, specialty retail shops, restaurants and local real estate, law and
medical offices. Tourism based businesses such as hotels, bed & breakfasts and summer camps, a few mid-sized manufacturers and a network of local healthcare facilities also contribute to the local economy.
With a historically preserved downtown, and proximity to many natural ammenities, the City of Brevard itself is home to a diverse business base. In addition,
City and County officials are continually exploring ways to make Brevard and Transylvania County more
attractive to relocating and expanding businesses.
