Whether you are a year-round resident, or a snowbird from points further south there are many opportunities to take part in a wide variety of community activities. From the various clubs and civic organizations to the numerous churches there is truly something for everyone. For example, our educational institutions; Transylvania County Schools, Brevard Academy, Brevard College and Blue Ridge Community College are always looking for volunteers, as is Transylvania Community Hospital and many other local civic organizations. There are also many activity groups and clubs that meet regularly in the county. Being a relatively small community, our county relies on the participation of all its citizens to prosper.
